Do to an intentional misrepresentation of facts, the “Dwight Yoakam” and “Blue Jeans on the Green” was canceled this year. Basically when the Anchorage Fire department made it’s decision (Asia Travel was in shock by the news). By then it was too late to change the place of venue and continue with the event (even though we pleaded with William Morris, explaining what had happened, and after we talked about moving it to the EGAN center).
Asia Travel originally received information that was false, by Blues Central Productions management (i.e. Bob Winn), prior to investing time and funds in the event. Asia Travel was told after advertizing for the event had started, that there was a contract with the AK DOME (i.e. legal signed contract), it was insured (i.e. basic liability), and a fire inspection had been completed (i.e. by the City). It was not until later (i.e. approximately 3 weeks), after money and time had already been spent on advertizing, airline tickets, hotel reservations, sponsors, acquiring additional insurance, and after Asia Travel purchased Frank Dahl’s (Blue Central & Sluice Box Inv. LLC) interest (25%) in the event, that the remaining investors found out that there was no legal contract with the AK DOME, no basic liability insurance, and no fire inspection had been performed.
The city of Anchorage was not responsible for the cancelation of the event, individuals (i.e. Bob Winn & Frank Dahl) who were in charge of planning, managing, and the production of the event were actually responsible, for fabricating information about the event that was untrue . Had investors (i.e. Asia travel) known that there was no valid contract, insurance, or fire inspection with the AK Dome prior to being asked to invest in the project, they would not have invested or participated in the event.
We would just like to thank everyone who supported us and the event and say we were sorry for believing in someone’s word before making sure it was truthful prior to lending our name and support.

Asia Travel was started 11 years ago by Samantha Lukacinsky, on the premise that nothing beats personalized service, experience, and attention to detail.
Samantha has over 21 years in the travel business (selling a larger travel agency to devote more time to traveling and having fun).
While many Internet sites promise special deals, travelers are often unaware of restrictions, exceptions, and fine print. Making the right choices based on price alone is not always the best course of action for travelers. We hear too many stories of travelers regretting that they didn't call us first.
Samantha and business partner (Buddy) specialize in travel to the Philippines, Macau, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Hawaii, Seattle, Orlando, and Las Vegas.
